"Yichard Muni and Ilianor Illios - Story Hour" will be held on January 26, 2013, from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm on the "City of Light" sim, InWorldz: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Magics%20Dreams/130/130/767 Yichard Muni and Ilianor Illios will combine their separate talents to create a rare kind of event, storytelling with music. While the story stimulates the imagination to envision heavenly worlds, the harp compliments the story with angelic cascades of musical notes. The event will be set in Ilianor's wonderful sim, "City of light," with a forested landscape full of animals and fairies.
Yichard Muni is from Aveyron in southern France. He has been interested in writing and painting for a long time. His work in both media reflect his vision of a beautiful world where wisdom and kindness have superceded violence and egocentricity. The work conveys a spiritual message about how to realize such a world on Earth now or at least after death. His writings include several short novels, some long novels or comics in varied styles spanning fantasy-elven themes, science-fiction, economics, and philosophy. In Second Life Yichard was involved with several elven groups and took an active part in the agreeable social life. He is now mostly in Inworldz, where he leads "Elf Dream" and "Elven bards and story tellers," a group for publicizing his events. He often tell stories while Ilianor Illios plays the harp.

She now teaches the language of music to nursery and primary school children. She holds an international education licence to teach in the method of Edgar Willems.
In recent years she has taken up the Celtic harp and now plays with a quartet of harpists and also with an ensemble that includes bagpipe, guitar, flute, accordion, and hurdy-gurdy. The group plays ancient, medieval, and traditional-Celtic music with a repertoire from Britain, France, Scotland, and Ireland. They also play traditional music from northern Italy. She enjoys composing modern ambient music as well and singing contemporary songs.
In Second Life and recently in InWorldz Ilianor builds lovely and imaginative fantasy castles, crowns for elves, virtual harps and musical intruments, jewelry for men and women, and much more. She has a popular store in SL and is owner of the "City of Light" sim in IW. Ilianor is known in role play sims as an Ainu maia from Tolkien licterature.
As part of the Intergrid Metaverse Arts Biennial 2012, the Community Library on Delphi in InWorldz is having a grand opening of their largest exhibit to date. Library board members, consultants and artists will be at the region at 1:00 pm PST/IWT to give tours or discuss the builds and book collection. At 1:15pm PST, Storyteller Kaikilani KaLeoNani will read stories of fae and fantasy. From 2:30pm to 4:00pm PST, DJ Astoria Luminos will entertain us with Celtic and New Age dance music. Fantasy dress is optional.
The mission of the Community Library is to serve the InWorldz community's needs and wants. The Fantasy Exhibit is the work of several artists, builders, and librarians. For this exhibit we wanted to have not only books in the category of fantasy, but also several immersive fantasy environments built by artists and builders on InWorldz.
Our immersive environments built on over half of the sim are built by Tiana Genesis, Alizarin Goldflake, soror Nishi, Elwing Qendra, Strand Starsider, Miso Susanowa and Quadrapop Tree.
Tiana Genesis built the lovely Elven forest, cave, and treetop terraces complete with a storytelling area. Over 40 books were created and are on the third floor of the library building. Dawn Greymyst produced the bulk of the books and Amvans Lapiz, Jillian2000 Quintessa and Agnesa Capalini assisted. Dawn also created a number of cutouts in fantasy dress and two slideshows about fantasy. Snoots Dwagon of Elf Clan loaned the library his beautiful collection of Elven swords.
Wolf Hartnell built a model and helped us get started. Strand Starsider built an underwater mermaid venue by the plaza that is complete with his Mer dances. There is more, but you need to visit the Community Library!

A part of the Intergrid Metaverse Art Biennial Live music at 1 pm with Ganjo Mokeev
GRAND OPENING FOR DREAMSINGER SCULPTURE ISLE AT GALLERY FREENOTE InWorldz
Dreamsinger Sculpture Isle is a new, sim-sized natural setting featuring the virtual sculptures of Teal Freenote. Teal has been creating art in virtual worlds for five years. She began with Gallery Freenote in Second Life® in 2008 and extended and added to that with Gallery Freenote in InWorldz™ in 2010. She has created all of her sculptures in InWorldz™ since that time.
The Opening will take place on October 21, 2012, from noon to 2 pm PDT/virtual time at Gallery Freenote in InWorldz™ with live music by Ganjo Mokeev. This event is part of the Intergrid Metaverse Arts Biennial art festival.
Teal Freenote's virtual sculpture derives primarily from dream and symbolic imagery around emotional and spiritual feelings, and recently is branching out to include more abstract explorations of philosphical and aesthetic principles. The central installation is "Gift of the Goddess", is a large meditation on creativity and the feminine. Dreamsinger Isle allows you to wander, explore, and contemplate the art in a beautiful, natural environment. It will remain open on an ongoing basis to visitors, with new sculptures added in the future.
Teal's real life digital fine art was featured in the Common Ground International Tour Collection, which toured the world in 2008-2010. [ http://www.commonground2010.com/ ] Her work has been shown in solo and group shows in New York and the southwest USA. Two of her real life works are also featured in "Digital Art Revolution: Creating Fine Art with Photoshop" by Scott Ligon, a book about creating digital art in Photoshop and developing a distinctive, personal approach to digital artwork. Scott stepped into Second Life® and interviewed Teal at her Second Life gallery about virtual art for YouTube.

30/9/2012 The CARP sims on Metropolis Grid welcome one of SL's better known artists, Rebeca Bashly.
Fabrica is a grim, masculine industrial complex on massive scale which holds a mirror to the artist behind the work. "It is part of me, what I think, what I feel, what I have, what I dream," says Bashly. "It's not really complicated."
Judge for yourself the complexity or otherwise of Fabrica, starting this evening, European time, on grid Metropolis.

25/09/2012 Dual Grid Event in Francogrid and Second Life
Writer, artist and gallery owner Mariaka Nishi, in RL Anne Astier, has announced that the Tournicoton Gallery in SL is closing, along with her sim Metaversel.
To mark the event, she is holding a final exhibition: "Welcoming Woman" at 12.30 PST on September 25. This will be a dual event, in Voice, on her new sim Metaversel, in Francogrid and at the Tournicoton gallery, on sim Metaversel, in Second Life.
The exhibition celebrates motherhood seen through the eyes of herself and her son Loukas. The show is a collection of drawings, photographs and writings on the subject of parenthood, and the meaning of Mothers everywhere, as they lead their new arrivals through the precious years of childhood.
Alizarin Goldflake's sim-sized build, Aquarella Rising, opened in InWorldz on her sim Alizarine Lakes. It is an immersive arts build showing at first a post-apocalyptic future, where humans have destroyed the world through greed and war and pollution. Then the goddess Acquarella sets about repopulating the ocean with purity and light.
Alizarin's fable raises questions about sustainability, responsibility, and choice. The event was well attended by many InWorldz builders and SL guests, who enjoyed both the party and the interesting interactive journey through four domes, each containing a chapter of the fable.
Oddness in Second Life, at Dragonhenge IMAB took the opportunity of featuring one of Second Life's most famous psychedelic performers, Tuna Oddfellow. Known throughout SL for his dazzling dance evenings, Tuna is also a magician. You have to be there for yourself to get the full effect of Tuna's Odd balls.
Tuna Oddfellow: "It's a great honor to be selected as one of the featured artist in the 2012 IMAB series. We had a magical connection during my shows. It's the vibe of the Tunaverse that made it so. I look forward to mutual enchantment in IMAB and beyond."
Intergrid Metaverse Art Biennial (IMAB) began on September 6, 2012 at 1.00pm PDT/SLT simultaneously in France, Hungary and Second Life, with The Change, a multi-media Rock Opera, performed by the CARP group on sim Benvolio (SL).
The premiere of The Change was timed to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of architect Nicolas Schöffer, the father of Cybernetic Art.
"Who created that Magic atmosphere? Spectators and dancers are merged in the same intense marvel, it is not reality, it is not dream, it is another reality... out of gravity laws, heaviness of matter...
Heaven, Heaven, Heaven... Where is Alice ??? Isn't it the new Wonderland ? Pure beauty, pure dance, pure flight! He would have been : SURPRISED - MARVELLED - HAPPY - LAUGHING - ENJOYING and APPLAUDING... :))) " ~ Eléonore Schöffer ~
The Change is about the huge challenge and choice facing our world - will we continue the way we are to one future, or change direction? The show uses symbolic imagery. The audience is led by a dark and a light shaman into alternative futures. We travel into other realities - into the distant future and into the distant past. We face the questions - what have we done? Is it too late? Shall we awake or shall we die?
